Holidays with The Pulse Charleston!

Happy holidays, y’all! My name is Katie McCabe and I am a Licensed Realtor with The Pulse Charleston, a residential brokerage in Charleston, South Carolina. Our team loves the Lowcountry! When we are not busy selling real estate in the tri-county area, we take time to enjoy the holidays with our families. Here are some things we enjoy:

Lara, Co-Broker and Founder: My favorite is the holiday fun run at James Island County Park in early November. You get to go and see the lights before it's open and walk the park for a different perspective! I also like walking Marion Square to see the displays.

Stacey, Co-Broker and Founder: I like going to Monza over the holiday season because they light it up with candles every evening and it creates a warm and cozy atmosphere. Then we can stroll out onto King Street for Christmas shopping. My favorite event is the Mount Pleasant Xmas Parade because the floats are extensively decorated with lights, and the parade is long. It usually isn't too cold, but it is cold enough to get a cup of hot chocolate and get in the Xmas spirit.

Jayme, Licensed Realtor: During the holidays my family is all about the sweets. We love heading to Saffron's Bakery or Kaminsky’s for our favorite desserts. The delicious displays of desserts are also a treat for the eyes. Kaminsky’s is a short walk from the Market Street Pavilion Hotel's amazing Christmas decorations. After that, it's on to the James Island Festival of Lights. From roasting giant marshmallows, to a train ride through the festively lit up trails, it is truly one of my family’s favorite places to be.

Helene, Licensed Realtor: My favorite restaurant to go to over the holiday season Wild Olive. It is so cozy and the lighting makes it feel like the perfect Christmas meal. I love going to the James Island County Park to look at the lights and also to Bowen's Island to eat oysters.

Katie, Licensed Realtor: This year, I want to buy most of my gifts from locals. I plan to go to the Holiday Market at Porter Gaud and The Town Market of James Island to do some shopping. I always find that this time of year is more rushed than I would like, so picking up some take out from a local favorite is a must! We love LaTabella’s. Nobody can beat their Bang Bang Shrimp.

Natasha, Licensed Realtor: The Sunday brunch gospel singers at Hall’s bring an awesome cheer to this already vibrant restaurant. I love the bison filet, the creamed corn skillet, and the whiskey bread pudding for dessert. I love a good oyster roast this time of year. They pop up all over town and are a great way to experience Charleston and a local pastime. If I want to do something a little warmer, I’ll drive around neighborhoods on Daniel Island at night. They have some awesome holiday decorations!
